SOLon FR for membrane roofs

SOLon FR – vertical PV for membrane roofs

SOLon FR is a vertical photovoltaic system for membrane (foil) roofs. The bifacial modules are mounted vertically and generate solar power from both the front and back. Installation is carried out without roof penetration and is project-specific, taking into account roof structure, statics, and compatibility with the roof membrane.

Membrane roofs place special demands on PV systems. Roof membrane, material, age, construction, and manufacturer approvals must be carefully considered. Therefore, SOLon FR is planned on a project-specific basis and tailored to the respective roof waterproofing.

The EPDM footing system ensures gentle contact with sensitive roof membranes. At the same time, the roof waterproofing remains unaffected, as SOLon FR is installed without roof penetration.

Vertical PV for membrane and flat roofs.

Lightweight system

Extra low surface load for sensitive commercial flat roofs.

EPDM material

Roof-friendly EPDM foot for sensitive membranes.

Vertical yield

East-west generation with strong spring/autumn output.

No roof penetration

Installation without penetrating the waterproofing.

Planning support

Support with design, structural analysis and roof checks.

Full-surface EPDM base for secure installation on membrane roofs – without roof penetration

Roof-friendly EPDM foot

SOLon FR makes membrane roofs usable for vertical photovoltaics. The EPDM-based mounting base rests fully and gently on the roof membrane, stabilizing the system without roof penetration and supporting safe, project-specific planning.
